Animated Musical Pattern

  • this project takes physical inspiration from previous pattern based projects from this class as well as thematically being Inspired by elements of nature and its cyclical nature.

    this animation transforms the same base pattern to reflect multiple different energies and types of movement found in nature to the beat of System of a Downs song ‘QUESTION!’

This main pattern used throughout the animation that is from an earlier pattern project. This pattern was recolored and broken apart into several different shapes to be animated within After Effects.

An alternate coloring and arrangement of the base pattern to give it a more dimensional appearance. its design and colors were used as reference to create the cell portion of the final animation.

This was a short visual list I drew to log what assets I created from the initial pattern in Illustrator so that I could more easily import and animate once I was inside After Effects.

Miniature Figure Calling Card

  • Based on another students interests, this card was designed to take several of their interests, miniature games, zombies, and cooking, to create a personalized calling card

    This set of 25 hand cut cards provide contact info on the front, and on the back displays instructions to punch-out the zombie chef to create a desk piece for display

The Self Against Connection: Wearable Art

  • Developed in collaboration with another student, this paper-based wearable examines the delicate nature of personal connections.

    When worn by two individuals, the sleeves form a cohesive, monorail-like form. however, a simple hand movement causes misalignment, symbolizing the ease with which connections can be disrupted.
