The Last Man on Earth Reimagined: Animation & Book

  • This project reinterprets the Vincent Price classic The Last Man on Earth, relocating the story from a post-apocalyptic modern setting to the era of the bubonic plague. My goal was to explore how the same themes of isolation and survival might unfold in a drastically different historical context.

    As part of this concept, I produced a five-second animated clip and designed three pages that would belong in a hypothetical art book for the reimagined film. The animation process began in Blender, where I blocked out scenes using rough placeholder models to establish motion and timing. I then rotoscoped the footage in Clip Studio Paint to keep the concept arts original style.

    The final animation is presented in black and white as an homage to the original film, with subtle accents of blue introduced selectively to emphasize key elements and create a haunting contrast.

  • In this collaborative Unity project, our team of three developed a comedic two-button video game focused on memory, replayability, and branching outcomes. I handled character design, storyboarding and animatics for the cutscenes, and gameplay programming.

    The game follows three gnomes on a quirky mission to collect ingredients for a potion and a doll. Items that ultimately combine to create a fourth baby gnome.

    Gameplay is split into two sections over two rounds: gnome controlled item fishing across a river, followed by a sorting phase where players select the five highest-scoring items. Player performance influences one of four unique endings, encouraging multiple playthroughs.

    shown above is one of the bad endings where a bad doll is made in the second round, creating a monster-like gnome instead of a cute baby gnome.

Lights Out… Motion and Macabre Animation

  • Created over the course of 31 days for a Halloween deadline, Lights Out… is a short, first person horror animation of a kid being haunted by a squid-like monster flying past his bedroom window.

    Every element of the project was designed myself, including models, textures, animation, lighting, effects, and sound design.
